What is Paint Correction?
A paint correction is the mechanical process of leveling a vehicles clear coat or paint to permanently rid the surface of swirls marks, scratches, orange peel, oxidation and other imperfections that may be present. This process requires a solid foundation of technical know-how and an understanding of how to properly gauge and measure your working surface without causing damage or completely removing a vehicles clear coat or paint.
With a proper paint correction small amounts of clear coat are removed from the surface through the use of abrasive polishes, pads and compounds and even wet sanding. This process refines the finish to a leveled, high gloss surface free of blemishes and scratches whiles adding depth and gloss.
A paint correction service can vary in time from a few hours for an express polish to several days. Every vehicle, customer and budget is different and we have the skills and knowledge to handle all of your paint correcting needs. We will do a full exterior paint analysis, gauge thickness of clear coat and identify any problematic areas that may require more attention and time during your initial paint correction consult before a price is presented.
